This blog is a place where I share my crazy experiences from the best travels in my life. For me it’s a kind of diary of the best moments I experienced. Additionally I hope that it will be an inspiration for people who also like to travel.
Thanks to the Internet I started to explore the world of motorcycle passion. As it turned out, it is present all over the world. What is more, there are a lot of people who are moto-freaks like me and here I can share my experience and interests with them.
However, travel is equally important in my life. The best part is that I can easily combine these two great things. Through my travels, I had the opportunity to visit Japan and its amazing capital Tokyo. Then I had the opportunity to go to New York and attend the Motorcycle Film Festival. I also visited Central Europe and saw the former capital of Poland – Krakow.
I can safely say that without an engine I feel like without hands. Besides, without travel I feel like without air.
Moto show – first time in Krakow
As I have already written in another post, I had the pleasure to participate in international Moto Show event in Cracow EXPO hall. It was an amazing experience for me and memories to last a lifetime. To feel fully comfortable, already at the airport we used a VIP Krakow airport transfer. When it comes to the connection of Krakow with the nearby airport, everything is really at a high level. Excellent organization, signs for tourists, food and beverage outlets, and brilliantly organized communication. This is to be commended.
However, the main purpose was the Moto show and there is a whole separate blog post about it. The most memorable was the extreme MOTO show and the presentation of the fastest car.
The only thing I regretted was that we didn’t have time to explore Krakow. So I immediately put it on my “to do” list. I really wanted to see the main monuments, walk the main square and the boulevards along the Vistula River. Since I’m also a fan of food, I absolutely had to try the famous casseroles in Kazimierz and hand-made dumplings from local restaurants.
Sightseeing – Krakow for the second time
I was already planning to come back to this city…and so it happened! This time I didn’t give up and allocated the given time in advance for sightseeing. I managed to take part in Moto show 2018 and spend some time in the city.
The atmosphere of this city captivated me after the first 10 minutes. Just like the previous time, we used the Krakow airport transfer service and the journey from the airport to the center took us literally 30 minutes. We went straight away to the hotel, which was located in the Podgórze district. I felt like I was visiting Milan. The sight of the church in the center of the square and the side colorful streets gave it an Italian feel. How pleasant it was to wake up in the morning and have an aromatic coffee at a nearby cafe. I will remember the views of the rising sun from the nearby footbridge over the Vistula River for the rest of my life.
However, the most memorable thing during my Polish trip was the trip to Auschwitz. We found a trip organized by Krakow Direct on the internet and booked seats right away. It was a good decision.
The trip to Auschwitz
I was really shocked when I went to Auschwitz-Birkenau. This camp was a place of extermination of Jewish people. Horrible murders and racial crimes were committed there, and more. In fact, anyone who was perceived as an enemy of Nazi doctrine was sent there. Some people were killed instantly, others worked really hard there until they were completely exhausted. I had never seen anything like it in my life, it was a place of mass executions and horrible human experiments. The atmosphere of the place was really overwhelming, and I didn’t feel like doing anything after the Auschwitz tour. However, I don’t regret that I went there because it’s a place that everyone should see at least once in their life. The tour was perfectly organized and the guide was very knowledgeable.
Tour of Schindler’s factory
After the tour of Auschwitz I went to visit Schindler’s Factory. After the previous positive impressions, I also booked a guided tour here with Krakow Direct. Schindler’s Factory is a museum with many interesting stories. One of them – the story of a thousand Jews saved by a German investor – really moved me. Although I have never been interested in such aspects of human fate, I really enjoyed the tour of Auschwiz and Schindler’s factory.
The joyful part of Cracow
Then I spent 4 days in Krakow and enjoyed the local cuisine, clubs, museums, parks. It really is a lovely city! I think I will stay here for a few days next year too. Especially in summer, there is really something to do here! You can go kayaking, visit the ZOO, go for a bike ride or swim in the Zakrzówek reservoir. The views there are almost like from a Croatian postcard. It is supposedly the perfect place for fans of diving!
What’s more, every year interesting outdoor events, concerts and festivals are organized here, so I would love to take my friends to spend time here. Especially since we have such an excellent connection by air, directly to the airport in Krakow.
To sum up, the trip was really successful. The city was amazing, the moto show was great and the memories were unforgettable. That is why it is really worth living and appreciating every minute!
